Bored...nothing new. I had class today, work yesterday. I made a new recipie in the crock pot...beef and bean stew! It was yummy!
Just really bored...

Troubles!
Ok so I haven't had the Internet in a few days. I came home from work and the Internet was out...and then the cable was out. I knew it wasn't from a billing problem...as I pay the bills. So I called the wonderful Comcast people and they told me that there was a "temporary interference" in my area and it should be cleared up by 6 or 7. This was around 4 on Saturday. By the time we went to bed it was still out...Sunday I woke up and went to work without checking it. I came home and sure enough...it's still out. So I called again...told them the whole situation...after the phone cut out and calling 4 times and talking to 4 different people...they finally just scheduled a time for tech to come and look at it. The next available was Wednesday...however because I have to work all day, we scheduled it on Thursday. Last night...it all magically came back on. I am still getting a $30 credit for my "inconvenience" though!
I have just been working other then that. I did a lot of dogs on Saturday and Sunday...and then not a single one on Monday...gotta love it.
Joke of the day:
Q. Why do fish live in salt water?
A. Because pepper makes them sneeze!

And the Heaven's opened and shined a light...
on my precious little Deuce!! Today was training class. Now let's recap on previous training classes... "snarl, snarl, bark, bark, lunge, snarl, lunge, bark, growl, growl, growl"...and so on. Well, my managers came through and found the waver that I could sign saying that it is ok to have a "correction" collar on...aka his choke chain. HE WAS SO GOOD TODAY! He was a totally different dog. He was much more calmer, he seemed at ease...and more comfortable with his surroundings. Four! little kids came right up to the his side of the training ring and he was fine with them...he only barked at one passer byer and he was a little weird as it was... He was going up to any dogs...but he didn't act like a buffoon either. It was great! I even convinced the other owner that choke chains aren't so bad when properly used..HA! Now next time we are doing the same thing, but without the "calming agents". He was drugged today...but he was drugged last week and he acted up..I truly think it was the chain.
I was also fairly busy at work today. I did 4 dogs, which is more then I have been getting. Today was just generally a good day.
Joke of the day:
Q: What's the difference between a cat and a frog?
A: Well, a cat has nine lives, but a frog croaks every night!

Vroom vroom!
Yesterday was a good day. I slept in and then cleaned up the house a bit. I ran errands...bank, bought Andy a new wallet (I washed it, he tried to dry it in the dryer...), and checked Mom's mail. I got home just in time to get ready for school. As the temperature here is wonderful 24 degrees outside..I bundled up and headed to school. Awesomely enough, my second class was canceled for the night.
I came home and decided to take Deuce to the Kennesaw PetSmart for some socialization. I really wanted him to see dogs, but there were none there for him to see...but it was a good experience none the less. I bought a new toy and some treats for them...the toy is already dead. When we came home, one of them yelped in the course of playing...I later figured out it was Deuce...apparently he cut his pad somehow...so Andy and I put some Neosporin on it. It should heal soon.
Here are his sad puppy eyes...he is trying to make you feel sorry for him!

Today we were slow, I did two bath dogs as we had no bather until 5:30, and one request dog. A Cockapoo named Mattie. I told her mom that I was transferring up to the Canton store in March, and she said she would follow me. Yay! Not that the dog is wonderful by any means...but it a guaranteed dog for me, not to mention she tips. ;)
I was sent home an hour and half early, and as Andy had the day off, we decided to order pizza and spend the night playing Mario Kart on the Wii. It was very fun. I think Mom and Dad are really going to enjoy this game when they eventually return home. It feels like forever since they have been here...two more weeks and counting. I MISS YOU MOM AND DAD!
I think someone should leave me a comment...no one ever leaves me comments. Amuse me and make me feel loved!!

Shortness
I was sent home two hours early today! There was like no chance in hell I was going to commission out, and PetSmart is cheap...so they don't want to pay hourly rate...so they sent me home. Nothing really that exciting other wise.
Deuce's training class went better then normal. I drugged the crap out of him. He still acted badly, but he got over it quicker and I got his attention better. So the drugs did something. Also he only got diarreah for half of Saturday instead of both Saturday and Sunday!
Short post today, as I am tired and have to go do homework!
Joke of the day:
Q: why are fish so smart?
A: because they live in schools.

Update
Today was filled with ckeaning the house. The dogs were tired from daycare...so they just layed there all day. Andy gets rewards points for recommending people and upgrades and such at work. He redeemed some points and got an iPod music player. The only thing is that it broke...he is going to contact the rewards center and hopefully exchange it!

These are the wine glasses I got the other day on eBay. You can't see them, but on the base of the glass there are little paw prints. She had to custom make the cane corso one as they aren't the most popular breed...but she found a picture for me!

Repeat
So this Wednesday started off just like last Wednesday. My boss calling me at 8 in the morning asking me to come in early. Yes that's right...I am their slave. I did four dogs and 3 bath dogs (that I did not get paid for). No tips, but the dogs I did were good...except the Cocker who apparently doesn't know that legs are for standing up.
I got my doggies from day care and they informed me that Roo needed her Bordatella...so we headed to the vet. She needed her heart worm test, and other shots also, so I left there with a years worth of heart guard and a $250 less then I had. However, she did give me free consultation on Deuce's diarrhea problem..generally if you are there for one dog, they only talk about the one dog...I had both of them there since we came straight from day care...so it worked out well. I really like that vet!
Monday night was hell. I was supposed to close with Amanda and Jessie (the bather). Amanda couldn't get a ride home, so she had to leave early (5:30 instead of 9)...and then Jessie called in and quit. So guess what? I was supposed to be there by myself from 5:30 until 9 by myself and bathe 6 bath dogs which, by the way, I DON'T get paid for. I ended walking out just to cool off. I called Andy and calmed down. It wouldn't be so bad except I don't get paid if I do bath dogs according to the great PetSmart corporation, and I just don't see how that is fair. Why am I being punished for coming to work and doing my job just because someone decided to quit? Lame. Thankfully Missy stayed two hours late, until 6, for me, so all I had to do was finish 2 of the dogs. I also got to play with the two cutest Maltese I have ever seen!
So that was the past few days for me...you know your jealous!!

Odds and Evens
Saturday was busy at work. Amanda called out, so I got all of her dogs. I ended up with 6 in total. Four out of the 6 were Shih Tzu...one a Cocker and one a 16 year old Jack Russell. The Cocker's mom was a bee eye tee see H (I don't know how I would spell that...). I did end up with $10 in tips though.
Sunday was completely the opposite. I didn't do a single dog. I did one nail grind, and the owner was extremely nice. Hmm..no tips though.
I bought Deuce some "calming agents" to try and help with his unpredictable behavior at class. Last class was horrible...especially with some man bad mouthing him right in front of me (he was a dee eye see kay). So I bought two different things. I bought a treat calming thing that is supposed to help with stressful environments....the main ingredient is hops...and a pheromone charm. The charm releases pheromones and specifically says "Helps modify behavior such as excessive barking, biting, and aggression." So we will see how it works.
Joke of the day:
Q: What did summer say to spring?
A: Help I am going to fall!

Class
Alright....so school started on Thursday. It sucks. I just hate school. I have to a 30 minute presentation in one of the classes...and I have an 80 year old Japanese dude for a teacher in the other. It'll be ok I guess...I just hate it!
Deuces class was also horrible. He was doing ok until a Newfoundland and a Pit came up behind him and scared the crap out of him...then he was on edge the whole time. What was funny was, I was supposed to bring his bed this time...ok Deuce's bed is big enough for me to sleep on...I was not dragging that to class...so I brought his from when he was a puppy...thinking it would be ok. Yeah...he wouldn't even step on it. We were trying to learn "go lay down" which means...go to your bed and calm down. The trainer ended up just getting a bed off the shelf and we turned it upside down so it didn't get too dirty (she ended up putting it back on the shelf). Next week, I will be dragging his big ass bed to class...
Sometime this week I will be getting my wine glasses I bought from eBay. This company custom made a Cane Corso wine glass for me...so I am getting two glasses...one with a Dobie and one with a Corso. It is very exciting...now I just need to go buy some wine...
Joke of the day: (Mom couldn't figure out the last joke...I dumbed it down a bit...let's see if she can get it this time.) :)
Q: How much do pirates pay for their earrings?
A: a Buccaneer!

Early Bird
So there I was sleeping in my bed when all of a sudden my phone starts to ring at 8. It was Jimmy, my manager...my immediate thought was 'I'm not late...I work at 10:30'. Sure enough, someone called out...so I was called in to save the day..as Seana was the only one there, and 5 dogs were coming in. I got there and holy crap...talk about bitchy people. I had a man literally order me to call his vet to get the shot records...people need to take a chill pill. It is not our responsibility to get those records. The good thing is I made more money because I did more dogs. I even got a new request dog! However, 3 out of 4 of my dogs (including the new request), bit me. One of them, the puppy, even made me bleed! Sadness.
The good thing is I got to leave early, at 4 instead of 6. Woohoo! So anyway, it was an ok day. Andy cleaned the bird cage too! That is pretty awesome.
Joke of the day:
Q: How do you hire a teddy bear?
A: Put him on stilts!

Family
Alright...so how is every one's new year been so far? Mine has been ok. Work has been pretty slow. The next few months are our slowest...so we will all be starving for a while. The canton store opens in March. That will be exciting; it's time for a change. My 7 year anniversary is in March...almost to the day of when I will be transferring.
We have had Roo for 2 years this month! It seems like we have had her for ever. She has her moments, but she has calmed down, and truly is a good dog...with a few loose screws. Deuce is having problems deciding where he is in the pecking order. He is acting up, being pushy with attention, and insanely hyper lately...I think it's his age. He will be a year old next month...this was the same age that Roo was at her worst...we will just have to work with him and wait it out I guess. He is still the best though! We are waiting for him to get to his potential size. Right now he is 90 ls., I guess larger dogs hit a plateau at some point and then start to grow again...who knows how big he will get in the end!
Andy installed Uverse for my brother the day. Then Aaric, Noelle, Noelle's sister, Chase, Andy and I went out to Ru Sans. It was a lot of fun, and very yummy!
Mom and Dad are leaving tomorrow. :( I went over yesterday before work so Mom could sew up some of my work pants before they left. And then I went back after work to trim the cat's nails. We said our goodbyes. I talk to Mom at least once a day anyway...but it is still sad. However, when she comes back we are looking at houses!! I can't wait.
Joke of the day:
Q: What did the fish say when he bumped into a concrete wall?
A: Dam.

Happy New Year!
Yesterday was totally awesome. The only thing that could have made it better was if Andy could have been there...but I still had fun without him. ;) It started out with the dogs and I sleeping in until 11. I finally dragged myself out of bed and walked the poor dogs, as they had their little legs crossed...after the walk, I fed them and started to clean house. I took the Christmas decorations down, did the laundry, dishes...and put up all of the crap just lying around. I ate a small lunch and hung out for a while, and then headed to Mom and Dad's house. I met up with Brian and Stephanie and and headed up to Aaric and Noelle's house.
We played with Chase for while, and Noelle straightened my hair for me. I am still in learning mode on how to do this. I did learn that the straightener does make a difference. I might have to invest in a new one... Then all 5 of use along with Chase went to Ru San's. That was really fun...especially when Chase had projectile vomit... for desert we went to Marietta Diner for cake to go (they have the best red velvet cake!), and went back to Aaric and Noelle's. We watched Crash to bring in the new year.
It was good day, and I hope more to come in 2009.
Joke of the day:

A: Decalfenated
