Broken, again

So yesterday sucked.  Monday night started it all.  I closed on Monday, so I left PetSmart at 9.  When I called Andy to tell him I was on my way home he informed me that I would pass his car on the side of the road as it broke down...again.  This is like the millionth thing that has gone wrong with his sad  little Kia Sportage.  So anyway, sure enough I passed it right before I got to the road we lived on.  It broke down maybe 3/10 of mile of our apartment complex.  Andy also decided to give the dogs twice as much wet and dry food as they were supposed to have for dinner...his way of being the better parent I guess...

So Tuesday came around and guess what!  Deuce has diarrhea...again.  He has a week stomach.  I told Andy next time he feeds the dogs, he has to clean up the after math.  I went to Mom's house and told them about Andy's car.  Dad and Jim (Dad's friend) was kind enough to tow it with a rope to the complex.  Turns out the rear axle is broken and needs to be replaced..  how fanta$tic.  So both Andy's car and the dog were broken yesterday.  Fortunately the dog is now fixed...the car will just have to wait.

Other then that, work as always.  I have a few new bite marks from a puppy today.  I also groomed a Chinese Crested Powederpuff today.  He was really cute.  :)

Kooza

Wednesday was filled with things to do. After sleeping in I took the doggies to day care, and ran some errands...including getting the rest of my nail filed done SHORT! I came home and Andy and I went to Chris's house to pick up some of my dad's tools. Then we went and picked up the dogs and headed to my parent's house. We hung out there for a while, and then dropped the dogs off. We went to Olive Garden for dinner and then off to Cirque Du Soliel's Kooza!!!

Oh my goodness it was awesome...my favorite part was the wheel of death..although it scared the crap out of me. It was great. I recommend to anyone who has the money and it was well worth it! Wow.

Thursday consisted of us running around town trying to find a switch for our washing machine. A couple of days before it broke. It wouldn't drain, so therefore we had a washing machine full of water, soap, and clothes for two days. Isn't that awesome? Andy and Dad finally found a place who sold the part, we came home and Andy fixed it. After rewashing the clothes, all is well.

Today nothing wonderful happened. I groomed one of my favorite request dogs for the last time today. :( Her name was Peaches, and I loved her. I will miss her. I found out my last day at the Woodstock PetSmart is on March 29. It's bitter sweet really. I have been with the company and this store for 7 years. I got the job when I was 16. I have worked in every department and was leads in each as well. I know the store like the back of my hand. It will be sad to leave my second home. On the other hand, it is exciting to be doing something new. Every so often a change is in order. I will be starting/opening a store, which looks good on a resume, and it is just kind of exciting. We will just have to see what comes in store (haha get in store...it's a store!).

Yeah...so anyway, work the next three days. Woohoo!

Fashion Show

Yesterday sucked at work. I was once again screwed as the bather called out and had to close alone...again. I did manage to break a fake nail and rip my real nail off half way...good times. It hurts.

Today was school no fun...and then as Andy and I were doing luandry, Andy thought it would be funny to put socks on Deuce. I immideatle grabbed the camera:

Roo thought it would be fun to "help" with socks:

This inspired me to put more clothes on the dogs. Here is Roo in her work out shirt....look familiar Mom?

Then they both decided to have a night out on town:

Deuce later decided to snazz it up a bit...

Sooo, yeah...I got a little bored today. I hope your day is more eventful then mine!
Joke of the day:
Q: what do you get when you cross a dog with an elephant?
A: a very nervous postman.

Wow, I'm slakin'

Ok, so it's been a while...but here I am to update you on the last couple of days. :)

Thursday: boring, nothing exciting...I walked the dogs and went to school...that was about it.

Friday: I worked. I took the dogs on a walk...Deuce had diarrhea in the middle of the sidewalk...and then I took Deuce to training. He did quite well. I put him in a stay on one side of arena, and then I called him from the other side, and half way through on his way the trainer would throw an entire handful of treats at him...and he ignored them like a good boy! He did still bark at the other dogs...but he is getting better!

Saturday: Happy Valentine's Day! I work the bulk of the day. When I got home Andy and I were going to go out to dinner, but when we got there the wait was about an hour and half to two hours. That, and Andy forgot his wallet. So we opted for Moe's, and decided we were going to out on Wednesday. For Valentine's Day Andy got us tickets to Cirque du Soliel's Kooza (that might be spelled wrong...). We are going Weds., so we will go for our dinner before then.

Today I worked. Funny story at work though. Ok, so my Aunt Diane and Uncle Mark are retired and off in Florida in their RV. My parents have been hanging out with them down there as well. So anyway, my Uncle Mark decided to learn to play the banjo, and has been taking lessons. I made a comment on their blog that I think it is cool that he is learning to play the banjo because it's not every day that you can say "yeah, I know how to play the banjo" or "my uncle can play the banjo!" ... so I was talking to manager and I was telling her that my dad plays guitar...and she said that her dad plays guitar and the banjo!! So what do you think I said??? "Hey my Uncle Mark plays the banjo!!" I just found this funny as I just made this comment on Friday. Humorous. Go Uncle Mark!!

We also had a salon/grooming meeting. That was uneventful, and then Hope and I went to Chilli's for dinner. Yummy southwestern spring rolls!

So there ya go...the last several days in a nut shell.

Joke of the day:
Q: What do you call a camel with no humps?
A: Humphrey.

Walkin' and School

Monday was uneventful. I walked the dogs in the morning then I worked a normal closing shift. Andy did buy Guitar Hero...so when I got home, him and Chris were playing. They were trying to convince me to play, but it just wasn't my type of game.

Tuesday I got up went to the mall to get Andy's Valentine's Day present. He has a gold chain that he bought with his very first pay check, and I have never seen it off of him. He always wears it. Well a couple of months ago, he broke it. So I took it to the fix it place in the mall and they fixed it. They also buffed and polished it. It was way shinier! So I gave it to him last night because I figured he would have noticed it not on his night stand. He loved it...he didn't even realize it was his until I told him! After the mall, I came home and walked the dogs. We had to walk in front of a girl at the bus stop like 20 times because Deuce was real scared of her...he needed to learn to just walk past...so we just kept walking back and forth until he finally just walked past her. The girl was very amused.

After that I went to school and talked to my new advisor. (Today was the first day this year it was warm enough to wear flip flops to class!) Turns out I won't be graduating as soon as I hoped. Apparently I still have to take Chemistry II. I haven't taken Chem. in like 5 years. Lame. Also, there are only two classes offered in the summer that I need to take...one is Chemistry...and I just don't know about taking that class in an 8 week course. The other one I will probably take. It's an online class for Computer Stat I think... so yeah...it will be an extra semester now. :(

I got my grade back from my Differential Equations class...I got a 77, that's better then I thought I was going to get! So yay for me. And last night I had to listen to another wonderful night of Andy and Chris playing Guitar Hero!

Joke of the day:
Q: Did you hear about the actor who fell through the floor?
A: It was just a stage he was going through.

Spin right 'round

I have had a freakin' headache since 5 today! Today was insane at work. There were only 4 groomers and one bather...and of course, it was the new bather (although she is awesome and actually does her job..she still has only been there for a week). The groom dogs weren't that busy, they only came in the middle of the day...but the bath dogs never stopped! They just kept coming. I ended up having to either completely do or finish (dry, nails, ears, brush...) 6 bath dogs...as the bather left at 4...but the store doesn't close until 7. This is sad because I only did 3 groom dogs. However, I got a new request dog that will follow me to Canton...this is both a good and a bad thing. The good, obviously there is a guaranteed dog for me. The bad...he is an un-neutered 1.6 year old shih tzu who thinks he rules the world. He tried all my patience today...but I got him to behave. Everyone else has put a "special handling" fee on him because he is so bad, but he was fine for me. So now she is coming to me. Joy.

When I got home today dinner was waiting for me. Andy made me spaghetti and garlic bread. It was quite yummy. I was going to take the dogs for a walk, but my head hurts too bad, and it is too dark. I feel safe with them and everything, but I still don't want to walk around on Bells Ferry in pitch blackness. I have been trying to take them for walks as much as possible. They need more exercise. So far we go about 2 miles. I don't want to overwork Deuce as he doesn't usually go on long walks. I bought him backpack though...and we will soon be increasing his mileage!

Joke of the day:
Q: How much does it cost a pirate to get his ear pierced?
A: A buck an ear!

Eventfull

Thursday I had test in Differential Equations...I don't know how well that worked out. My teacher is 90 year old Chinese man who can't give clear directions to save his life. Nobody knew what the hell was going on in there!

Today was rather eventful though. It started out with me at work..woohoo. Mom and Dad showed up! I only got to see them for a minute...we are planning on meeting for breakfast tomorrow at iHop! Then I went home and took the dogs for a walk. We went almost 2 miles on Bells Ferry, which is a pretty busy road, but it has a sidewalk. This is the longest Deuce has ever gone for a walk. I am scared to take him too far because his joints need the rest. He did great though. We passed 4 people and got within 20 of a dog, and he acted just fine! He walked well and wasn't scared of the cars (well at first he was, but he didn't try and dart or run away, he just kept his ears back). I am so proud of him.

Andy came home and we went out and met Hope and Lance for Friday Night Date Night. It's their thing that we go to if we both happen to be off to meet them! It was very fun.

I also discovered that Roo might have a urinary tract infection...or something similar. She has peed on my couch twice in two days. At first I just found the stain and thought one of them just peed on the couch. But then today while I was sitting on the couch, she was laying down next to me...and when she got up she had peed again. This means she is peeing while she is laying down...that's not normal. If she does it again, I'm going to call the vet to get her tested out...dogs just don't pee on themselves like that...

Joke of the day:
Q: Why did the apple turn over?
A: He was jealous of the jelly roll!

2 for 1

You get two posts today...aren't you excited?

Today started out with a physical! Woohoo! They had to take blood (which is stupid because my other doctor just took it, and I gave her the results!!)...they ended up bruising my poor little arm. It still hurts too. :(

I then went to check on the parent's house make sure it didn't burn down or anything. Everything was fine there except for the fact that there is no warmth. I have to sit next to the fireplace!

Next was an evaluation for Deuce. I found a different trainer that works with aggressive, fearful, and generally hard to handle dogs. She does it like the Dog Whisperer! She said that he definitely has issues, but they can be fixed!

Next was school..fun times that is. They also don't know the meaning of a heater...or teachers who speak English...

Joke of the day:
Q: Why are math books always so depressed?
A: Because they are full with problems!

25 Things

Ok, this a thing that is on facebook, but I think those of you who do not have a facebook should do it too...all you do is write 25 random thing, facts, and goals that you have that not everyone already knows. It's just a get to know you thing without doing the survey things... :)

1. I have been working at PetSmart for 7 years, and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon...I started when I was 16.

2. I have no idea what I want to do in life. I am graduating with a Math degree, but want to do something with animals...I have no clue how my life will be.

3. I'm bipolar. I have horrible mood swings and can't control it. I can be violent and not so fun to be around...

4. going with the bipolar...I don't understand the meaning of life, and don't think I ever will...I am what you call, a pessimist.

5. I know more then your average person about dogs. I can tell you where most breeds originated from, their original purpose and if there are any health concerns. I can name more dog breeds then most people, and I like the rare breeds more then the common ones. I'm a little obsessed.

6. I can't spell worth a shit...I have to spell check everything...but a lot of bad grammar bothers me (except for "..." and some times not capitalizing the first word or "I"...but double negatives and there, their and they're...need to be corrected.

7. Hippos are one of my favorite wild animals.

8. I can find the weirdest "coincidences" on earth. In one day at work we several dogs there...their names were.."Dallas and Huston, Detroit, Georgia, and Tex" ...we have one dog named Smokey Fred, and then a lady that has two dogs...Smokey and Fred ... and then things like my birthday is 6-7-85...move the last number to the front and you get 5-6-7-8...

9. I just learned how to use a hair straightener in November of last year...and I still rarely wear make up.

10. I don't like tails...both of my dogs have docked tails...I just don't like them...they get in the way; they hurt when they wag...and besides...nubs are the CUTEST!

11. I use "..." WAY too much...if you haven't already noticed.

12. I watch too much tv...I have seen every single episode of NCIS just in the past 3 months, all on repeats. I also have about 15 shows set to record every week on my DVR.

13. I have never had a pedicure and refuse to get one because I hate people touching my feet. I am very ticklish and hate it.

14. I have been wearing glasses since first grade. I tried contacts once for about 3 months. It took me 20 minutes just to put them in. I finally just gave up, and I still wear the glasses. Maybe one day I will get the lasic.

15. I am an extremely dependant person. I don't like to anything alone. I can't make a big decision on my own, and I get upset when everyone is out of town all at the same time.

16. My next car will be a Honda Odyssey, not because I think driving around in a minivan is cool, but because my dogs are too big for anything else that is even halfway gas efficient.

17. I spend $130 a month on doggie day care. I live in an apartment, so they need their time to run and play. They go once a week...

18. I can solve a Rubik's cube...not blind folded, or behind my back, or in 35 seconds...in about a minute and half...but I can still solve it.

19. I have never tried a cigarette or any kind of illegal drug, and never plan on doing so...

20. I have had braces twice...the great "preorthadontics"

21. I absolutely DESPISE the bird that lives in my house. I wish death upon no animals...except her. I hate her. And no, I can't get rid of her...she's my boyfriend's bird...not mine. We live together...if I get rid of the bird...he goes with it...

22. As much as I love dogs, I am allergic to Shar Peis...I can't touch them or I break out into hives.

23. I truly find my lame ass jokes funny.

24. I love to laugh, and want everyone to like me...however, I always feel people don't like me...I have been called a walking oxymoron and "the perkiest depressed person" one has ever met...

25. If I was stuck on an island and could only listen to one song for the rest of my life it would be Hotel California by the Eagles.

Go Steelers!!

Wow Friday Saturday and today was BUSY at work. Insaneness (I don't think that is a word). It was worth it though...the more dogs the more money! Today I shaved down a matted Maltese...it was so sad. It was a year old and never had a hair cut! I charged him $63...

Today was the Super Bowl...now I am not a big foot ball fan, generally I don't give two flying hoots about it... but Hope has convinced me that the Steelers are awesome. She is from Pennsylvania and is always cheering for the Steelers...and as they made it to the Super Bowl I cheered for them for the past two days. AND THEY WON! Woo. Andy and I went over to Aaric and Noelle's house for yummies and to watch the game. It was quite fun.

Tomorrow is my interview with Marti and Linda (salon manger and store manager from the Canton store). Apparently the previous "Hey Stephanie you are guaranteed going" didn't really count...keep your fingers crossed!

Joke of the day:
Q: What's the biggest writing utensil the USA?
A: Pennsylvania!
