Thursday was fun though. I got up and went to Mom's house at 8. Dad made me a breakfast sandwich and off we went to go house hunting. The first house we looked at was for sale for $80,000. It was labeled as a "fixer upper". This was an understatement. I'm pretty sure it was unlivable for the first two months of "fixing up" the place. It had yellow shag carpet...
We then just drove around to several neighborhoods. Every time we saw a new street we would drive down it. We found a few houses. We were trying to stay close to the highway for convenience sake...but I don't know how that's going to work in the end. I called a ton of houses and the few that have called me back are either too high in price, or doesn't want any pets, only wants one dog, or doesn't allow Dobermans, poor Roo. I am still waiting on some houses and we are also going to continue the search on Tuesday.
Friday I slept in. A little too long actually. I did get up until 11, and as I had to work at 12:30 I didn't do much of anything. I haven't slept in in a while though...so it felt good. Friday night was interesting for about 30 seconds. At 11 (pm) I was walking the dogs one last time before we went to bed. About half way through the parking lot I heard a dog barking fairly close to me. So I stopped and locked both of the dog's flexi leashes so I could locate the other dog. Sure enough this little Schnauzer comes hauling ass around the corner, barking and growling straight at us. Both of my dogs snapped...they both tried to take out this dog. Thank God that I had them on short leashes so I could semi keep them under control. The dog came about 6 to 10 feet in front of us, and as I was preparing to kick this thing as hard as I could to keep it from getting killed, he realized...oh shit, those dogs are bigger then me...and he backed off and circled (still barking mind you). I yelled for someone to come get their dog and some lady come running out after it yelling at it to get back in the car. Thankfully the dog listened to her, and went away. I wanted to yell at her about leash laws, but my nerves were shot. I was literally shaking. In the end everything was ok. But if that dog got any closer, I don't know if I would have turned out the same. Deuce isn't fond of other dogs anyway...but Roo doesn't like things just sneaking up on us in the dark. So yeah, good times.
No joke today, just this wonderfully funny video: "Sleepwalking Fail!"
